LA TOURBIÈRE DU GRAND ÉTANG - BOG

    À propos

The Grand Etang peat bog is formed in a depression of glacial origin, it gives birth to a tributary of the Bouchot. This wetland of 9 hectares shelters rare plant and animal species which find here the necessary conditions for their survival and their development.
The Vosges acidic peat bogs, which have been severely degraded for nearly three centuries, are now a priority issue in terms of conservation strategy for natural areas.
