The origin of the name "Mottei des Fées" comes from the Lorraine dialect, meaning "church of the fairies". Situated on the ridge to the west of the Col de Grosse-Pierre, the rocks at Moutier des Fées evoke the shape of an old church, with nearby rock formations called "la sacristie". According to legend, it was here that the fairies gathered to dance. Today, this picturesque site is a popular climbing spot, attracting adventure and nature lovers alike.
